I have got some more orders for wedding cards so that will keep me busy this week.

Manvers Lake Layout!

The idea for today's layout came from this month's Scrapbook Inspirations Shimelle Laine. She used a cut down page protector on her layout so she could add more photos. Now I like to do double page spreads with lots of photos but my albums are bulging. So I thought I would give this idea a try. I made my book up and kept my embellishments flat so I could laminate each page. I then stitched around the front cover so this would match the layout, I stitched the pages together and stuck the mini book to my layout. I have cut a hole in my page protector so the mini book can be viewed. I am really pleased how this layout has turned out and I am glad I took the plunge to try stitching on my layout.

Products Used;

Bazzill cs pale green
12x12 paper from Craft Creations SRO57P Green Meadow Stripes and SRO55P Green Meadow Butterflies.
A Selection of sticker and printed ribbon was also used.

The colours look better in real life!

Have a great day!

Scott's 19th Birthday Layout

Wow I can't believe it has been 6 days since I last posted anything! Time does fly when you are having fun. I have been busy creating some layouts and I had an order for some wedding cards, which I will share with you over the next few days.

The 12 x 12 paper is from Trace and is double sided and is called Grandmas Attic.
One side is stitched and the other side has snaps on it. If you click on the photo it will enlarge it and hopefully you will see the detail.
Circle was cut on my Cricut and then coloured with Tim Holtz Distress Inks in;
walnut stain
old paper
tattered rose
and peeled paint.
Organza ribbon in ivory and olive.
Coloured brads from Making Memories.
I used a Japanese screw punch to make my holes.
The words were cut out on my Cricut using the Jasmine cartridge.

Hope you enjoy looking today's creation!

Jake & class layout

I got Jake's school photos just before Easter so I thought I had better get on with my pages.
I have left the tittle off for the school and the childrens names.
I have to say this was a very cheap layout, a bargain really!

The paper came in a pack from Poundland and so did the embelishments. The paper is good quality, a nice weight! It is amazing what you can pick up in these cheap shops!
I also used a couple of grommets.

Adele & Jake are back to school today and I am back to work, so have a great Monday everyone!

Hope everyone is having a lovely day and not eating too much chocolate!
We woke up to snow this morning but it did not last long, all gone by 10.30am.
Poor old Jake, he missed the snow again!

Anyway, today's card is decoupage from Papertrey. I really love this design as we like to go caravaning, so I might keep this card and give it to Kevin for our anniversary. I have just left enough room for a greeting!

Today I thought I would show you something different. For sometime I have been wanting to have ago at scrapbooking on a canvas, so I took the plunge Friday and managed to get it finished yesterday. So what do you think of it? Have you ever scrapbooked a canvas? Please let me know.

My First Magnolia and Flower Soft Card

For today's card I have used the flower soft window, flower soft in green, lilac and lavender. This is the first time I have used flower soft and I was not sure if I liked it to start with but I think the card has turned out ok. My Magnolia girl was coloured using my copic sketch markers and I applied diamond glaze to her wellies, glitter glue to her wings. The organza ribbon has different shades of lilac to purple and is really lovely. Pity I can't remember where it came from.

Hope the weather is not too bad where you are!

Happy crafting

Earthquake Last Night!!!!!

Oh my god did any one else feel the earth move last night!!!!!!!

Here in the UK we had an earthquake at about 1am this morning and I gather it was the strongest one in the UK for twenty five years!
I was watching TV with Kevin and we heard this rumble like the sound of a low flying helicopter and then all of a sudden the whole house just shook. I have to say I was just terrified, I have never experienced anything like this before! I could not stop shaking.
What a night!

Mother's Day Cards

This card is for my mum for Mother's Day and I have also decorated an envelope to match.
I created the background using a flower stamp, black Stazon and then watercolour crayons.
I stamped and embossed the butterfly with black onto black card and then I used my Pearl Ex palette to colour the butterfly with.
The background is layered on to black, gold, red and then onto a black card.
The butterfly has been stuck to the card using silicon glue so I have more at the front and less at the back. The butterfly looks like it is hovering over the flowers.

I also made and envelope to match the card.

The basket card has been designed as a kit for 30 pre-school children to make.

Take a look on CMUtd challenge group

This weeks challenge is........... Mothering Sunday or Mother's Day!

Hope you enjoy lookig at the cards today!
