The Rachelle Anne Miller Collection

Good afternoon everyone....Genny here. For today I'm sharing a card using a design from the wonderful Rachelle Anne Miller Collection by Elegant Inspiration. There is so much on these 2 cds it's hard to know where to start. There are 10 collections of different artwork alongside many many backing papers, sentiments and cutting files . All the cutting files are also available as JPGs, so they can be cut by hand if you don't own an electronic cutting machine. Each collection contains so much..it's hard to pick what to do first. Every one of them includes decoupage, pyramidz, envelopes, inserts (incluing an 8 inch), shaped number cards, 70 quick cards, bags and boxes and so much more.
I'm really looking forward to having a really good play.
For my first card I have used only 1 topper and 2 sheets of backing paper. I have matted and layered each level onto pink card. Then I have embellished the corners with roses, pearls, hearts, flowers and stars from my stash. The image is such a pretty one of a fairy which is very whimsical and calls for all sorts of sparkle.

I hope you all like it. You can buy this cd from Julie here at jb-crafting supplies alongside an amount of wonderful pretty embellishments. I would be buying this for the backing papers, sentiments and inserts alone..there is such a lot on these cds..I am truly amazed.
Well I hope you are managing to keep warm and cozy in this cold weather..it's the perfect time to stay in and craft...so until next time, take care and happy crafting.

Joanna Sheen cdroms

Hello everyone...Genny here. For today I've chosen to feature the wonderful House Mouse Triple cd collection, from Joanna Sheen. This cd is crammed to capacity with the most gorgeous images featuring the adorable house mouse. There really is something magical about these little mice and they are guaranteed to raise a smile. It is the artwork of Ellen Jareckie and she has always managed to capture such cute expressions on the little faces of the mice. This is a triple cdrom and one of the cds is all christmas. The cards that I have made are from that cd. If you would like to buy this cd please speak to Julie here at jb-crafting supplies. If you added this cd to your collection you would find images to cover any occasion over the whole year and still some. It really is a great buy.
If you love the house mouse then be prepared for some excitement coming soon. Ellen Jareckie has also created the happy hoppers and the gruffies (rabbits and bears) and they are arriving with their own cd which is due to be released soon. Please speak to Julie if you are as excited as I am.
Well I hope you like the cards and will think of adding this wonderful cd to your own collection..so until next time..take care and happy crafting..Genny

Hand Stamped Christmas Gift Tags

Good morning Crafters!! Well Christmas is fast approaching and like many I have started my Christmas shopping! So this week i thought I would make some quick and easy hand made gift tags using the Sheena douglas "A Little Bit Of Felt" Stamps available from JB-Crafting supplies instore and on-line just HERE!!
For my gift tags instead of stamping with ink I decided to use a black card and use Indigo Blu flitter glue and Mega flakes in "Winter Dawn" I have never used these products before, and it was loads of messy fun lol I had Mega Flakes all over my desk! It looked very pretty :) I will definately be buying some more colours now in the flakes, and try them with some bigger stamps as it gives a lovely effect! but as a first time user these stamps were perfect!, I also put flitter glue just around the edges of my gift tags too to add a bit more shimmer! after all, if you are making quite a few tags you need to keep it quick and simple. I then added some Christmas red ribbon and a few red gems to finish
perfect little hand made tags! you could even make a matching card in the same way and even make some gift bags or boxes too!
happy crafting!!

Tutors Required

I am looking for tutors to work with me in 2014.
You must be able to offer something that is unique. Previous teaching experience is not required but would be an advantage.
You will need to be able to show examples of your work and provide me with quality images that I can use in my advertising from time to time. I am only looking for tutors who can offer me something alternative to my current classes.
If this sounds like you and you would like to be considered please email Julie at jb-craftingsupplies@hotmail.com and tell me a bit about yourself. Please feel free to send me some images of your favourite projects. Thank you Julie

Joanna Sheen

Hello everyone...Genny here. For today I thought that I would do something a little different and highlight three of the wonderful christmas cdroms from Joanna Sheen. All are available from Julie here at jb-crafting.
The first card is from Victorian Christmas Cards. This is a collection of wonderful victorian images. This card is from the birds section. I have glittered the image and the embellishment is made using a collection of die cuts from my stash. Please have a look at the collections of dies available from Julie..I use many different ranges and try to find ones that enable me to use them all year round. It's surprising how many 'christmas' dies can be used year round if just looked at in a different way.

The second card is from the truly magical Hollypond Hill Christmas cdrom. There are some wonderful images on this cd. I have been really surprised by the variety of images on this cd and the backing papers are a wonderful collection in their own right.

My third and final card for today features the truly loved house mouse images. This is a triple cdrom and one of the discs is a dedicated christmas one. I cannot believe the amount of images over these 3 discs. You are bound to find a house mouse image to suit every occaision.

Well I hope you enjoyed the selection for today. To be honest, I couldn't pick which cd to feature so I thought that I would share a card from each. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me or speak to Julie. For anything you need in your crafting moments please pop along and see Julie or contact her online....the shop really is a treasure trove of goodies. Well I hope that you have a wonderful day..so until next week...take care and happy crafting....Genny

Barkley from Crafters Companion

Good afternoon everyone. Today I have 3 projects to share using the fabulous Barkley crom from Crafters Companion. You can tell by the number of 'makes' I've made just how much I love this cd.

Project number 1 is a christmas ornament that I've made. I used a chipboard ornament shape and painted it white using acrylic paint. I then added my chosen picture and decorated around the image using die cut snowflakes. The snowflakes are a mixture of white, painted and holographic. I painted the blue ones with twinkling H20s. It catches the light and twinkles and would make a lovely addition to your christmas decorations.

Project 2 is a christmas card. The background paper is made using acetate. I took a piece of heat proof acetate and coloured it with 3 different colours of alcohol ink pens. The I took a kitchen sponge scourer with blending solution on it (only a few drops) and dabbed it over the acetate. I then dried it using my heat gun. I backed the acetate with white paper to make the colours pop. I then cut it to fit the card and added my image. I embellished it with some diecuts from my stash.

For project 3 I have used one of the larger toppers to make a card. This cd is so useful for making all types of cards and projects. There is so much on this cd that I really haven't scraped the surface. I have had such a good time..this is really a good one to add to your own library. I'm sure that it is one that you would use every christmas. It is available to buy from Julie here at jb-crafting supplies. If you need any more details on any of the projects that I've made, then please get in touch..I'll be more than happy to help. I hope that you have enjoyed sharing my ideas..until next time..take care and happy crafting

"Heart Felt Wishes"

Good morning crafters!!! time to share something new with you all!. This week I am using the "Heart Felt Wishes" Stamps by Sheena Douglas available on line and instore now from JB- Crafting Supplies
This week I chose to work with just the gingerbread man stamp and the sentiment as they are my favourite!!,
So what could I do different for you this week i thought?? I've coloured these stamps with promarkers. my last DT project I used chalk pencils....so this week i decided to paper piece, I simply stamped the images onto different patterened papers and cut out and layeredIup! Quick, simple and I think really effective! I chose some lovely christmassy papers from my stash and added some gold mirri card and to match up the style of the stamps I added some black faux stitching around the edges.
I hope you like my card!! and it encourages you to try these stamps yourself! you wont be dissapointed :)
Happy crafting

Barkley in a basket

Good afternoon everyone. Today I am lucky enough to be working with the fabulous Barkley cdrom by Crafters Companion, which is available here from Julie at jb-crafting supplies. As an animal lover, I have so enjoyed working with cd and the images are great ones to share. On this cd there are a number of larger toppers and this is one of them. I just love this image of Barley waiting in his basket. This is a 8x8 card, so you can judge how large this is. I love working with 8x8 cards..but there are many images on this cd which work with the smaller card ranges as well.
All I have done with this card is to mount the picture onto some red card and edge it with a glittered peeloff. The only other embellishments I have added is some diecut ornaments and some jeweled stars. Even though it is a larger card, it is also a very quick card to make.
Sometimes with a lovely image, you need only add a few embellishments. Jewels, ribbons and diecuts always feature on my cards and form a large part of my stash. If you have the chance pop along and see all the goodies that Julie has in stock.
Well I hope that the weather is being kind to you..so wherever you are take care and happy crafting

Barkley cdrom from Crafters Companion

Good afternoon everyone..Genny here. Today I'm featuring the fabulous 'Barkley' cdrom from Crafters Companion which is available from julie here at jb-crafting supplies. I have so enjoyed working with this cd. I have made these cards using the card companion section of the cd. This is a really handy section if you need to make quick cards. Everything that you need to make a card is on one sheet..the matting, the main image as well as messages and decorations. The only thing that I have added is some peeloffs.I love them. And they are really good for posting as they are flat and use a smaller card. I have made these using a 6x6 card. With the postage costs today alot of my friends want to be able to post majority of their cards using a normal first class..so these fit the bill really well. I would like to add that there are also some wonderful large images on this cd...which I will be featuring in later posts. Being a lover of dogs and cats, I love the images on this cd. I hope you do too. Until my next post..take care and happy crafting...Genny

CAS card using Pastel Pencils

Good morning crafters! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend? Well today I decided to try two completely new things for me...little bit scary..but FUN! I am using my new Stampendous Stamps "Angel Trumpet" available now from JB- Crafting Supplies
so...the two new things?? To Create a CAS card, coloured in using ONLY my Faber Castel Pastel pencils...( That i have never used before!!) eeek! well...sometimes its good to step outside of your comfort zone and try new things!!
This stamp is quite simply... beautiful..and so I thought perfect for a CAS- Clean and simple card!, I would normally have coloured in using my promarkers but wanted to try something new and different! I may need some more practice with my pencils BUT I have to say I really enjoyed using them! and we ALL have to start learing somewhere when trying a new meduium!
I hope you like this stamp! Next week i will colour her with my promarkers and use the ohers stamps that come with the set!
Happy crafting

Barkley Cdrom from Crafters Companion

Good afternoon everyone..Genny here. Todays project is from the fabulous Barkley cdrom by Crafters Companion from Julie at JB-Crafting Supplies. As most of you will know by now I adore both cats and dogs..so this is the perfect cd for me. There are fabulous festive designs. This cd is so packed with wonderful images it's so hard to know where to start. My poor printer should have smoke coming out of it with the amount of work it's done lately.
I decided to start with a project rather than a card this week. I wanted to make something that could live with my Christmas decorations and come out every year. When my son was little, one of the things that he loved to do was put out the 'Santa Sign' every year. He would put it out at the beginning of December and would look at it every day. It all added up to even more christmas excitement.
To make this sign I began with a piece of thick card, which I covered with a backing paper from the design set. I printed and cut out 'santa stop here' from the alphabet section I cut out Barkley in his basket and his cat friend from a topper sheet. I used some christmas greenery die cuts and a christmas tree die cut from my stash. I edged all the letters with black faux stitching. I added a 'please' with peeloff letters as we all know Santa does like good manners..well that's what I told my son! I assembled everything and then just added decorations using jewels and peeloffs from my stash.
It was a really fun and festive project and I hope you will give it a go. I hope you all like it. Next time I will be making some christmas cards with the truly wonderful 'Barkley'...until then..take care and happy crafting..Genny

Heart "Felt" Wishes from Sheena Douglas

Good morning crafters!, today see's a new post with some exciting new products!
This month I will be working with some new stamps available now from JB-Crafting Supplies the first stamp set is a collection by Sheena Douglas's A Little Bit Festive range, called "Heart Felt Wishes"
These stamps are really lovely! and so easy to work with!, I have so many designs rolling around in my head! but first off I decided to create a simple card using the 3 main images from the set,
I created a card showing the 3 designs hanging from a christmas tree, and used a a Christmas Pine Die to cut some lovely green pine needles, arranged them to the left of my card placing some flat and a few on 3D foam pads then arranged my images!, The stamps are simple and quick to colour in, and are perfect for not only accomplished colourists but perfect for beginners and children too!
A little dash of satin green ribbon and the cutest of sentiments that comes with the set! and voila, one quick Christmas card that is sure to stand out on your mantle piece this christmas time!
Next Saturday I will create something using my next stamp set so untill next time....
happy Crafting

Father Christmas cdrom

Hello everyone..Genny here. Today I'm sharing two more cards made with the fabulous 'Father Christmas cdrom from Crafters Companion. I have really enjoyed using this cd and keep having more ideas.
The first card I'm going to talk about is the one with the face of Father Christmas. I thought it would be nice just to show a really easy quick card. There are always times when we have a lot of cards to make but don't always have the time to spend. This image is from the topper section and the backing paper is from the design sets. All that I have added is some red card and some peeloffs. I have to say that there are some really fabulous backing papers on this cd. So please have a good look..I have found lots of papers that I can use on many christmas projects. It's always good to have a cd in your library that you know you can go to when you need a christmas paper.
The other card is using the alphabet section of the cd. I just printed out the word snow and mounted the letters onto a piece of blue card. I used the same blue card as my backing card and added a piece of white embossed paper. I used a snowflake embossing folder from my stash but any design with snowflakes on would be just as nice. On top of the embossing I added some diecut snowflakes and then fianlly added the strip with the word on. Of course the card needed glitter ( I really do love the stuff!), so I just spot glittered the letters. You can;t see in the photo but the whole card seems to twinkle.
Well I hope that you like the cards and will really consider adding this cd to your library. If you get the chance pop along and have a look at the fabulous range that Julie has in stock at JB-Crafting Supplies. Until the next time..take care and happy crafting..Genny

The Snowman & Snowdog- Table Place setting

Happy Saturday morning crafters!! Time for my weekly Design Team post...still using my Crafters Companion "The Snowman and Snowdog" CD rom available from JB-Crafting Supplies-this week using elements from the TOPPER COMPANIONS section of the cd. I have chosen for my 4th project to create a personalised Christmas table place setting.

I popped the images into my graphics programme to add the name Scarlett. How lovely will your Christmas table look with these! , and how suprised will your guests be to see their own place setting!
A fabulous edition to your Christmas table....now you can't buy these in the shops!!
