Sisterhood of the blogging stamper group 8

I have just joined Sisterhood of the blogging stamper group 8, check it out there are still places left to join.

So a little about myself for the other members to see, my name is Julie and I live in South Yorkshire UK. I married to Kevin and we have four children, carl 22, Scott 20, Adele 17 and Jake 10. I have been into crafts of some sort for most of my life. I came across rubber stamping about fifteen years ago and I am totally hook. I also love scrapbooking which I have been doing for about three years. The crafting had to take a back seat for the last two years as I have just had a craftroom built and finally moved in in October, so I was a made rush for me to get my Christmas cards made this year. I am looking forward to spending lots of time in my new room.
I have taught cardmaking classes at shops and at home for over 5 years which I enjoyed.

I am really looking forward to getting to know my sisters in group 8

Winter Scene

Just another quick Christmas card.
The image is embossed in white and I have used ColorBox ink pads and Direct to paper technique to colour the image. I then went over the water with Radient Pearls to give an icy sparkle. Then added some glitter to the trees.

Enjoy the card!

Tomorrow it is Jake's Christmas play at school and I am taking my mum to watch it. Jake did not want to act so he is doing percussion. This will be his last play as he changes school next year, sad really.

No cards today!

I don't think I will be able to get any cards made today as I am taking Jake to the panto in about half an hour. We are going to see Peter Pan with Billy Pearce at Bradford. It has been years since I have been to a panto and I am really looking forward to it and this will be Jake's first time.

Hope you all have a great Saturday (it's raining here).

We got back this evening wet and tired but I have to say the panto was FANTASTIC!!!!!
I have not laugh or cried so much in a long time. I can't wait to go again.

Cracker Cards

Today's card, well three actually! are for a cardmaking class I am doing tomorrow in school, for some adults. These ladies have never done any card making before so I have tried to keep them as simple as I can and I am also working to a tight budget; which is not easy.

Hope you enjoy the cards, see you tomorrow!

Spotlight Card

Today's card is a spotlight card.
I stamped and embossed my main image on my card, then stamped my image again on white cs. I then cut out part of the image I wanted to use and coloured this with my chalks. Then attached it to the main image with doublesided tape. I then stamped the image onto shrink plastic, coloured this with chalks and then heated it to shrink it. I then went around the edge of the sp with a gold Krylon pen and then attached the piece to the card with doublesided tape.
Stamped and embossed a saying on the card and then punched some leaves out of some scrap paper. Added some fibers to the card to finish it off.

Hope you enjoy this card!

Hi Dianne & Lambsy,
I have put this stamp away and I can't find it ahhhh! but I think it is from Stampendous. It is a lovely stamp which I have used lots!

No cards again!

Sorry I did not get to post any cards yesterday or today but Jake had a accident at school and we ended up at the hospital and had to stay overnight. He ran backwards into a wall and cut his head.He was being sick for ages so they xrayed him and kept him in for observation. He is home now and the colour is finally coming back in to his face. I should be posting some more cards in the next couple of days.
