Penguin Card!

I could not resist making this cute penguin card.
Ideas come to you at the strangest times!
I woke up in the middle of the night and thought I must design a
penguin card with my punches.
I must say it did not take long to design & make,
about 20 minutes.

I have edged around all the black peices with a creamy white chalk ink pad
so he stands out.
His eyelids have been glittered with black glitter.
All this stands out in real life, you might not get the effect on here.
If you click on the picture you might see the detail better!

Have a great Friday!

Snowman Card

Today's card idea came from Dawns Stampin Studio.
I don't have the same size punches as Dawn, so I have just made do with the punches I have.
I loved making this card so much that I thought I would try to adapt it to make a
Father Christmas.

What do you think, will it do!

Kitty update!

She is about the same as yesterday.
She went outside for ten minutes.
Not really eaten much today:-(
and she is fast asleep in front of the radiator.

Have a good day everyone!
It's very cold here today and we had frost on the ground this morning!

Kitty Up-date!

I would like to say a very big thank you for all your kind messages about Kitty,
I was very touched by everyones kindness!

At this minute she is fast asleep in front of the radiator.
We have managed to get her to eat some food.
I have hand fed her chicken, which she loves!
She has had her tablets without to much fuss today, in her chicken.
There is some improvement in her, I am pleased to say!

No Cards Today!

Sorry but I have no cards to share with you all today!
To tell you the truth it has been a very stressful day and I just don't feel like
creating anything!

As some of you may know we took in a stray cat back in May.
When she came to use she was just skin & bone.
She is a lovely cat, house trained, well behaved you could not ask for any more!
Well yesterday she was not eating and we thought it might be a fur ball again,
which she gets every couple of weeks. So we usually gets a day where she will not eat
until she has sicked the hair ball up.
So this morning when Kevin came downstairs he found some sick on the floor and
some blood and we could see something was wrong.
Phoned the vet and got in at dinner time. Well we have got one poorly puss!
She has an overactive thyroid and bad teeth. So she is on two sets of tablets.
We have never had a cat before and trying to give her a tablet when she wont eat is really hard.
It has taken three of us to give her the tablets!
If she improves over the next two weeks
when she has her next trip to the vets she will have to have her teeth out.
If there is no improvement, it sounds like Kitty will have to be put to sleep!

I have just taken these two photos of Kitty!

Poor baby!

She is so thin and needs to put weight on. We are having to puree her food
to get her to eat. We are getting her to eat a bit every hour.
She is drinking a lot and just sits there looking sorry for herself, poor thing!

Christmas Candle Pyramid Card!

Another Christmas Pyramid card from my internet CD.
The green background paper came from a pack from Papermania
called Wonderful Christmas Time. This is a really good heavy weight quality paper.
There is a slight pattern on the paper and I have stippled with gold ink
to give it a lift. You might not be able to see this from the photo.
Then finished off the card with peel off corners and a greeting!

Thanks for looking!

SBS-25 Challenge

This weeks challenge on SBS-24 is a sketch!

I managed to get my card made last night but I had to leave it to dry!
I think the colours look a bit pale on here but in real life it looks ok.
I even managed to make this card from my scrap box!
You can not really see but I have stippled the main white card & the blue card with the blue chalk pad.
I had to add the two extra snowflakes to cover a couple of marks left from the glue when
I attached my Zooms.
They just jumped straight from my tweezers and of course had to
land on my card!

I used the glitter on Santas face, coloured his glasses with the gold gel pen.
Then filled the glasses with diamond glaze so they stand out.
I also used the diamond glaze on the eyes.
If you click on the card to enlarge it you might see it better.

Stamps Father Christmas Rubber Stampede & Merry Christmas Hero Arts.
Other Brads from Woodware, blue Zooms, diamond glaze Judi kins,
ribbon glitter glue, gold gel pen & felt pens.
Ink Black Stazon & ColorBox french blue chalk pad.

I am looking out of my craft room window and it is raining!
What a good day to sit and craft!

Have a great Monday everyone!

Christmas Trees & Baking!

Well Sunday evening is here again, I just can't believe how fast the weekend has gone!
This morning we went out for a while then came home mid morning and spent
the next three hours out in the garden cutting the grass, trimming the hedge and generally just tiding up the garden, filling the green bin ready to go out tomorrow.

I have managed to get three simple cards made using
Anna Griffin Christmas trees, tag & paper.
Peel offs, organza ribbon & more paper from the Range.

I even managed to get a bit of baking in today!
A banana tea bread, which tasted lovely with some clotted cream!

A loaf of sundried tomato & Parmesan cheese bread!
The kitchen smelt heavenly!!

Last of all is Jake's flapjacks.
Jake has been baking at school and he really enjoys it so now
I have to share my kitchen with him!
Move over Jamie Oliver!!!
The flapjacks have now be cut and covered in chocolate and they look scrummy!

Well that is my day so now I am off to visit a few blogs and to try and do my
card for this weeks challenge on SBS-24 group!

Poinsettias!

I really love Poinsettias!
So when I received my Anna Griffin Kit last year from QVC I was over the
moon to find these beautiful Poinsettias.
Now they are all gone :-(.
The holly paper is from the same kit.

I am so glad it is Friday as I have had a busy week.
I have been helping in school every day this week as we have had a book fair.
The children have loved all the new books and we have managed to raise
some money for school.
This money will go to buying new books for school!

I am back in school this afternoon as we are going to start planning for the
Christmas fair, which we are holding at the beginning of December.

So I hope can get back to some crafting this weekend!!!

Christmas Tree

Yesterday I was having a rummage through my die cut box and came across
these lovely Christmas trees.
I have also used scraps of paper left over from some scrapbooking projects.
I have tried to keep these cards as flat as possible for the ease of posting.
I am quite happy how they turned out and I am using up what I have lying around my craft room!

Have a great day everyone!
