The Rachelle Anne Miller Collection

Good afternoon everyone....Genny here. For today I'm sharing a card using a design from the wonderful Rachelle Anne Miller Collection by Elegant Inspiration. There is so much on these 2 cds it's hard to know where to start. There are 10 collections of different artwork alongside many many backing papers, sentiments and cutting files . All the cutting files are also available as JPGs, so they can be cut by hand if you don't own an electronic cutting machine. Each collection contains so much..it's hard to pick what to do first. Every one of them includes decoupage, pyramidz, envelopes, inserts (incluing an 8 inch), shaped number cards, 70 quick cards, bags and boxes and so much more.
I'm really looking forward to having a really good play.
For my first card I have used only 1 topper and 2 sheets of backing paper. I have matted and layered each level onto pink card. Then I have embellished the corners with roses, pearls, hearts, flowers and stars from my stash. The image is such a pretty one of a fairy which is very whimsical and calls for all sorts of sparkle.

I hope you all like it. You can buy this cd from Julie here at jb-crafting supplies alongside an amount of wonderful pretty embellishments. I would be buying this for the backing papers, sentiments and inserts alone..there is such a lot on these cds..I am truly amazed.
Well I hope you are managing to keep warm and cozy in this cold weather..it's the perfect time to stay in and craft...so until next time, take care and happy crafting.

Joanna Sheen cdroms

Hello everyone...Genny here. For today I've chosen to feature the wonderful House Mouse Triple cd collection, from Joanna Sheen. This cd is crammed to capacity with the most gorgeous images featuring the adorable house mouse. There really is something magical about these little mice and they are guaranteed to raise a smile. It is the artwork of Ellen Jareckie and she has always managed to capture such cute expressions on the little faces of the mice. This is a triple cdrom and one of the cds is all christmas. The cards that I have made are from that cd. If you would like to buy this cd please speak to Julie here at jb-crafting supplies. If you added this cd to your collection you would find images to cover any occasion over the whole year and still some. It really is a great buy.
If you love the house mouse then be prepared for some excitement coming soon. Ellen Jareckie has also created the happy hoppers and the gruffies (rabbits and bears) and they are arriving with their own cd which is due to be released soon. Please speak to Julie if you are as excited as I am.
Well I hope you like the cards and will think of adding this wonderful cd to your own collection..so until next time..take care and happy crafting..Genny

Hand Stamped Christmas Gift Tags

Good morning Crafters!! Well Christmas is fast approaching and like many I have started my Christmas shopping! So this week i thought I would make some quick and easy hand made gift tags using the Sheena douglas "A Little Bit Of Felt" Stamps available from JB-Crafting supplies instore and on-line just HERE!!
For my gift tags instead of stamping with ink I decided to use a black card and use Indigo Blu flitter glue and Mega flakes in "Winter Dawn" I have never used these products before, and it was loads of messy fun lol I had Mega Flakes all over my desk! It looked very pretty :) I will definately be buying some more colours now in the flakes, and try them with some bigger stamps as it gives a lovely effect! but as a first time user these stamps were perfect!, I also put flitter glue just around the edges of my gift tags too to add a bit more shimmer! after all, if you are making quite a few tags you need to keep it quick and simple. I then added some Christmas red ribbon and a few red gems to finish
perfect little hand made tags! you could even make a matching card in the same way and even make some gift bags or boxes too!
happy crafting!!

Tutors Required

I am looking for tutors to work with me in 2014.
You must be able to offer something that is unique. Previous teaching experience is not required but would be an advantage.
You will need to be able to show examples of your work and provide me with quality images that I can use in my advertising from time to time. I am only looking for tutors who can offer me something alternative to my current classes.
If this sounds like you and you would like to be considered please email Julie at jb-craftingsupplies@hotmail.com and tell me a bit about yourself. Please feel free to send me some images of your favourite projects. Thank you Julie

Joanna Sheen

Hello everyone...Genny here. For today I thought that I would do something a little different and highlight three of the wonderful christmas cdroms from Joanna Sheen. All are available from Julie here at jb-crafting.
The first card is from Victorian Christmas Cards. This is a collection of wonderful victorian images. This card is from the birds section. I have glittered the image and the embellishment is made using a collection of die cuts from my stash. Please have a look at the collections of dies available from Julie..I use many different ranges and try to find ones that enable me to use them all year round. It's surprising how many 'christmas' dies can be used year round if just looked at in a different way.

The second card is from the truly magical Hollypond Hill Christmas cdrom. There are some wonderful images on this cd. I have been really surprised by the variety of images on this cd and the backing papers are a wonderful collection in their own right.

My third and final card for today features the truly loved house mouse images. This is a triple cdrom and one of the discs is a dedicated christmas one. I cannot believe the amount of images over these 3 discs. You are bound to find a house mouse image to suit every occaision.

Well I hope you enjoyed the selection for today. To be honest, I couldn't pick which cd to feature so I thought that I would share a card from each. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me or speak to Julie. For anything you need in your crafting moments please pop along and see Julie or contact her online....the shop really is a treasure trove of goodies. Well I hope that you have a wonderful day..so until next week...take care and happy crafting....Genny

Barkley from Crafters Companion

Good afternoon everyone. Today I have 3 projects to share using the fabulous Barkley crom from Crafters Companion. You can tell by the number of 'makes' I've made just how much I love this cd.

Project number 1 is a christmas ornament that I've made. I used a chipboard ornament shape and painted it white using acrylic paint. I then added my chosen picture and decorated around the image using die cut snowflakes. The snowflakes are a mixture of white, painted and holographic. I painted the blue ones with twinkling H20s. It catches the light and twinkles and would make a lovely addition to your christmas decorations.

Project 2 is a christmas card. The background paper is made using acetate. I took a piece of heat proof acetate and coloured it with 3 different colours of alcohol ink pens. The I took a kitchen sponge scourer with blending solution on it (only a few drops) and dabbed it over the acetate. I then dried it using my heat gun. I backed the acetate with white paper to make the colours pop. I then cut it to fit the card and added my image. I embellished it with some diecuts from my stash.

For project 3 I have used one of the larger toppers to make a card. This cd is so useful for making all types of cards and projects. There is so much on this cd that I really haven't scraped the surface. I have had such a good time..this is really a good one to add to your own library. I'm sure that it is one that you would use every christmas. It is available to buy from Julie here at jb-crafting supplies. If you need any more details on any of the projects that I've made, then please get in touch..I'll be more than happy to help. I hope that you have enjoyed sharing my ideas..until next time..take care and happy crafting

"Heart Felt Wishes"

Good morning crafters!!! time to share something new with you all!. This week I am using the "Heart Felt Wishes" Stamps by Sheena Douglas available on line and instore now from JB- Crafting Supplies
This week I chose to work with just the gingerbread man stamp and the sentiment as they are my favourite!!,
So what could I do different for you this week i thought?? I've coloured these stamps with promarkers. my last DT project I used chalk pencils....so this week i decided to paper piece, I simply stamped the images onto different patterened papers and cut out and layeredIup! Quick, simple and I think really effective! I chose some lovely christmassy papers from my stash and added some gold mirri card and to match up the style of the stamps I added some black faux stitching around the edges.
I hope you like my card!! and it encourages you to try these stamps yourself! you wont be dissapointed :)
Happy crafting
Nicole
