So you want to know about me... new DT!

Yikes!! So that is me over there on the left. My name is Sam and I am SO excited to be joining Julies team! I have already made introductions with the other members that I will be occasionally (or more often than that) bugging for tips on how to work this blogging malarkey! All right so Im kidding, I do know what Im doing... for the most part.

Sooo, a little about me. I am in my early 30s and have pretty much been into any form of crafting my entire life. I love being creative so when I moved here to England from my old life across the pond, it didn't take much for me to get hooked to card making when my mother in law bought me a few starter goodies.

If you didn't catch that subtle hint that Im not from here, I am half Mexican, half American. I have 3 kids who are mutts. British, Mexican and American. I moved here about 4 years ago or so to be with my british husband and  have been driving him crazy ever since. I went to school to be a graphic designer but due to life getting in the way, that dream did not get fulfilled. However, I am hoping to be returning this year to finally get that finished!

My crafting style is pretty grungy. I am a big fan of Tim Holtz and you will see a lot of inking in my work. My hands are almost always colourfully inky and I will try and persuade any crafter to try the messy goodness for themselves. I have taught a class or 2 in inking and spraying and hopefully will teach more in the future. I would love for you to one day find my work in a magazine (or 2).

I am a pinterest addict. If I could, I would try each and every one of the diy pins I find. If you want to FOLLOW ME on there feel free!

A bit of crafty genius
I have a blog called A BIT OF CRAFTY GENIUS which I try very hard to keep updated and I am also very active on facebook. I have my own business called AUTUMN MOON DESIGNS where I do my digital work and stencil making, though I am taking a break at the moment due to an upcoming holiday.

I hope you enjoyed this little insight into my life. Don't forget to get to know the other new DTs, and thanks again Julie and company for welcoming me!

  Bye!!!

-Sam-
