Design team make...Using your stash

Hello everyone..Genny here. I hope that you are all well and not suffering too much with this awful weather. Here in the mountains, the wind is raging and to me it's the perfect weather to stay indoors and craft. Ever since Christmas, I have been looking at my stash and trying to use items that I already have alongside new products. For my first card I have used a backing paper from a Christmas pad, a stamp (which has one of my favourite sayings on and some rubons that I must have had for at least 3 years. I used to hate rubons with a vengeance because I could never get them to work properly...but now technology has moved on and I have to say that these were a pleasure to use. For the card I matted and layered the saying onto some green and yellow card, used the rubons to make a frame and finally added a toning ribbon.

For the card below, I used this wonderful little pirate stamp by Nellie Snellen. All the background paper and card are from Christmas pads. I stamped the image with my memento inkpad and coloured it with my promarkers. I even added some gold cord from my Christmas stash, as it reminded me of the gold braid used on naval hats.I think that this would make a perfect card for a little boy...even some of my older friends who tell me that they always played as pirates when they were younger..lol

I shall be back next week with a different project for me. I am so looking forward to it..both making it and being able to share it with you all. So until then..take care and happy crafting.

Design Team Makes using Joanna Sheens..House Mouse Decoupage cdrom

Hello everyone ...Genny here. For this weeks design team makes, I am using the latest House Mouse cdrom from Joanna Sheen. It's called The House Mouse Decoupage cd and is available from Julie here at JB-Crafting Supplies. If you adore House Mouse as I do, then just ask Julie to get it for you. On this cd there is house Mouse, Gruffies and Happy Hoppers, all with decoupage. There is also 4 sections of Christmas designs. Of course with every design it's up to you whether you want to do the decoupage or nor or just how much decoupage you choose to do.

I have been meaning to share this cd with you for a while...I admit to having a bit of a thing for the Happy Hoppers. For 2 of the 3 cards that I have done today, I have made with you all in mind. Over the time I have been on this wonderful design team, I have noticed all the wonderful creations that you all have made...knitting, sewing and card making...so these cards are all for you. The first card features this ball of wool with the two cheeky house mouse. I know in my house it's the cats that won't leave my wool alone! All I have done for the card is make up the decoupage and place it on a card...perfect for a knitting fanatic.

The second card is a card which I would make a perfect card for any friend that loves sewing. I chose to do no decoupage, just to show all the detail in the image itself. I'm thinking of doing this one, to be framed for my sewing room...every time I see it..it makes me smile.

For my last card is using the image in it's entirety. The backing paper is from the House Mouse Triple cdrom. I have mounted the backing paper and the image onto spring green card. I have decoupaged the image.

If there is anything you need crafting wise just ask Julie. I hope that you all have a good week..I'm currently working with some Stampendous stamps, ready for next week. I love working with these stamps as they are so easy to use and the detail is fantastic. So until next week...take care and happy crafting.

The Rachelle Anne Miller Collection

Good afternoon everyone ..Genny here. Today I'm lucky enough to be working with the Rachelle Anne Miller collection again. There is really so much on these cds, I'm having a wonderful time. For a start I thought as last week I made a girlie card..this time I thought I would make a card for the little boys. One of the really nice things on this cd is the fact that they have ready made large (8x8) toppers. This is really unusual for a cd. They also have the inserts to match every design and cover most sizes of matching envelopes as well. All I have added to the card is some peeloffs and jewels. As well as the topper there is a wide selection of greeting circles so you can personalize it even more.
Another great feature is the party bags. These are so easy to make and will save you loads of money if you have a party to organise.

Above is the girlie one...made to match last weeks card. And below is the boys one to match todays card. Each bag prints out on 2 A4 sheets of paper and then it's ust a matter of cutting out and gluing. You could also print the inside with a backing paper of your choice by ust printing on the reverse of the bag template. All I have added is a tag to match each bag...ust to add a bit more sparkle. The bags are a good size..easily big enough to hold a piece of cake.a small toy and some sweets. I was shocked to see how much party bags are to buy in the highstreet shops...so this really is worth considering.

Remember..so far I have only used 2 of the images...I'm really excited about what's coming next. If you would like to add this to your own cd library, then please contact Julie here at jb crafting supplies.
I hope that all your christmas preparations are going well. I'm still up to my knees in glitter but I can feel the excitement rising. So until next week..take care and happy crafting...Genny.

Morning everyone!

I made this card very quickly last night for Adele to give to her new boyfriend
as it was his birthday.
Kids! they never give you any notice, it's I need it now!
So I had twenty mins to throw it together.

I kept to black, white and a bit of silver.
The stamp set comes from Inkadinkadoo

Got to run, prep in for more classes.

Oliver's Birthday Card

I made this birthday card for Oliver's first birthday
which was last Saturday.
I used the Boys & Girls Cd from
Crafters Companion.

I had fun putting this card together!
I like doing decoupage so long as it is not to
complicated.

Have a great day everyone!

so I will get down to that this week.

Today's card is a digital download from Victoria Case
I just love this image.

The main card is white.

I would just like to say a big thank you to everyone who visits my little old blog!
It really makes my day special when I see people have been to visit.
I have had a great first year!

Hope you enjoy looking at the card.
