Design team make.....Birthday Teatime

Hello everyone...Genny here. For todays design team make I have used a stamp set from Hobby Art stamps called Teatime. It is a great stamp to create your own tea table. As everyone has seen lately..tea, china and old fashioned cloths have made a great comeback. For this card I stamped the cloth edging, teapot, jug, cups and cake stand with my Versafine inkpad. I then used my lyra watercolours to paint them. I also watercoloured the large cake and a collection of little cakes. The background was created by doing a watercolour wash onto a piece of watercolour paper. I mounted this onto a piece of pink backing card. Also from Hobby Art I used the verse and mounted that onto the same pink card. I finally added the two pieces of bunting which are from a Joanna Sheen Signature Die.

Following on from last weeks paper cutting make..I decided to do some thing different. I am lucky enough to be on the design team for Jiggery Makery. This is the team belonging to Adele, Julie's daughter. I decided to use one of her fabulous pin up digis and to create a piece of papercutting. I took the shape of the skirt and drew a design. I then cut it out and mounted it onto a piece of red paper.

I really enjoyed making both these cards and after all, this is why we all craft. Nothing makes me relax more than to work on a card or canvas project. Any thing that you need craft wise..please get in touch with Julie..here at JB-Crafting Supplies.

I hope that the weather is being kind to you, wherever you are. The sun is shining here in the mountains, so I can craft in peace because all my cats are outside, sunning themselves. Usually when I get my crafting goodies, they all arrive, wanting to help..lol. Well until next week..take care and happy crafting.

Design team Post

Good afternoon everyone..Genny here. This week I have been using the wonderful and versatile digi designs by Adele at Jiggery Makery. I have been lucky enough to be given them by Julie here at Jb-Crafting Supplies to make some items for the design team. Oh I love to play with flowers.
My first card is using the flowers to decorate the frame. I thought that this would be a nice card to send to someone who was having a difficult time..we all have them and it's always nice to know that someone is thinking of us. The leaves and frame were from my stash...if you check out the goodies that Julie has in stock you will always find something similar. The flowers and leaves I have coloured using my copic markers.

My second project using the flowers was this handbag card. This handbag I made using a board from my stash..there are lots of similar bags around..either on a board or using a template. The nice thing about this bag is that it works as a giftbag, allowing you to put a small gift inside. I know so many of my lady friends that have a passion for handbags and shoes..this would be perfect for them.

My last project features the flower that I zentangled last week in black and white. I was asked if you could zentangle something when it had been coloured. I said of course..and here is one that I have coloured in different shades of pink.I coloured the flower first using my copics and then zentangled over the top

Well that's me for this week..I have had so much fun creating using these flowers..I'm sure that there are many more ideas floating around. I hope that you all have a fantastic week..so until next time..take care and happy crafting.

Design Team Post

Hello everyone..Genny here. For this months design team project we were given some great flower and face designs by Adele...otherwise known as Jiggery Makery. As most of you know, I love working with flowers,so I have been having a good play. For my first card I decided to make a handbag and use the flowers to decorate it. The handbag shape was made using a board from the Glitter girls. I added a handle and then decorated it using the flowers and some die cut foliage. The digi design I took into a graphics programme and reduced the size and then coloured them using my copic markers. But you could colour them using any medium..other alcohol pens, acrylics or watercolours. I then added some peeloff buckles and a diecut butterfly. I know that Julie has some wonderful dies in stock..so why not have a look. The bag itself opens up so that you can write your message inside.

My second card is one of the flowers blown up and then I have zentangled the petals.  Zentangle is just doodling really, filling the space with small doodles or patterns. I then cut the flower out and mounted it onto some black glittercard and then in turn matted that onto some black card. I love tangling..it is so relaxing and I can say that it is one of the few times that I'm quiet..lol. Well I hope that you like my cards for this week. If you ever have any questions, I'm more than happy to answer..please get in touch with either me or Julie and I'll get back to you.So until next time..take care and happy crafting

Last DT project using Adele's Easter image - not quite Easter!

This week Julie from JB Craft Supplies asked us to combine the image from Adele at Jiggery Makery (take a peek at her Facebook page here) with the stamps from last months makes.
I was already to print out my image when I discovered I had no ink! Thought I had a spare but obviously the one in the printer was my spare - oops!
Thinking cap on - I stamped out the images from the Stampendous Steampunk shoes, took a photo of them & imported the images into Craft Artist. I liked how the stamped images turned out.
Imported the Easter image into paint, removed the basket and coloured. Then imported this into Craft Artist.
I then started to play about with the images, arranging them on the layout. When I had the look I wanted I put a small  border around the whole image. Think this would make a good poster.
Hope you like it, thanks for stopping by,
Bev.

3rd DT post using Adele's Easter image

I know this is not an image for a childs Easter basket but I know some men who are partial to a bit of choccie & would love to receive these baskets!
I found the basket template on Craft Artist, picked a backing paper and placed this in the template.
The Easter bunny image & sentiment from Adele were coloured using my laptops's paint programme, then was imported into Craft Artist. I resized the image & sentiment to fit onto the template, used the sticker option to give them a white border.  Placed a shadow onto them to make them seem to be standing off the paper.
Printed the sheet off & assembled the basket, using some garden twine for the handle. Popped a few choccie treats into the bag - now I wonder who will like this treat?
Hope everyone has a lovely Easter break and doesn't overdo the choccie too much!
Thanks for looking,
Bev.
