Here are my final three Christmas cards.

Anna Griffin papers, die cuts & tag.

I made this card for a card class.

This is last weeks card for my class.

Thanks for looking!

Right I had better get back to preparing for tomorrow.
I will have a house full this year so it will be all go.
Boxing day wil be quieter this year as we normally go to my Mother in laws
but this year she has gone on holiday.
So I think it will be a quiet day at home this year for the three of us, Adele will
be spending most of the day at her boyfriend Ben's house.

Merry Christmas to you all!

I thought I had better show these tonight as I have four more Christmas cards to
show you tomorrow.
Then that will be all my Christmas items shown up to date!

Julie

Poinsettia & Tag Cards

This poinsettia card is a little different to the card I made before.
I used different paper.
Stamped my greeting on red card stock
and toned down the red & yellow paper with a chalk ink pad.

The purple card was quite a simple and quick card to make.
The paper came from Dovecraft.
The round embellishment came from Tesco last year in the sales.
I stamped the tag with my black Stazon then coloured in with
embossing felt pens and then embossed with clear embossing powder.

Have a grest evening everyone!

I am back!!!

Hello everyone, I am finally back in the land of blogging!!!
How I have missed it.
Thank you to everyone who has been asking after me.
I had a really bad head cold and was poorly for a few days, I missed Jake's concert
at school, very disappointed at that:-(.
Then Jake caught it and was off school for a couple of days.
So now we are getting back to normal and I am so far behind with things!

I have had a few messages asking about Kitty, she is doing ok at the moment.
Her eating is up and down a bit, she only goes outside now and again. We are all very happy
that she is slowly getting back to her old self!

Today's card was made for Adele's boyfriends birthday.
Quite fitting really as he is in a band!

I have got some more cards made I just need to get them photographed.
The lighting here is terrible at the moment.

Bye for now!

Black & White Penguin!

Oh my, isn't this penguin soo cute!
I think this is the quickest card I have made in a long time lol.
I just love black & white Chistmas cards.

I have not made any cards for a few days as I have been
seeing to Kitty! She is getting lots of love and attention.
She was sick twice this morning and it took me ages to clean up.
She is only eating a small amount of food per day but she is no worse
in herself.

Now I am going to go and make some candy cane mice for the school fair!
See you all tomorrow.

You might not be able to see the sparkle.

Kitty Update!

We have just brought Kitty home from the vets!
Needless to say we are all very very happy.
She has just had all her medicines and a drink and has now settled down.
We have put her some food out so I just hopes she eats it.
Thank you for asking about her I really appreciate it!

I might not get to post tomorrow as I am going to the NEC!!!
My mum is kitty sitting for us!!

Julie

Cat Card!

Today's card is the same basic shape as the snowman card.
The idea for the cat came from a gift bag Adele had for her birthday.
These cards are really quick and easy to make, perfect for using up all of your scraps!

Kitty

We have had to take Kitty back to the vets tonight.
She has not been eating.
It is not very good news I am afraid.
I said we should let her go as I think she has suffered enough, she is so thin
and her kidneys are suffering.
But Kevin said give her another chance.
We were both in tears as we have got so attached to her in a short time.
Mind you Kitty has been sulking with me today, she would not let me fuss her.
When she was sat on the vets table she put her head in my chest and let me fuss her.
So she is now spending the night at the vets and they will put her on a drip
and will try to get her to eat. They will phone us tomorrow and if there is no improvement she will be put to sleep.
I am finding this hard to type with the tears rolling down my face but I felt the need to share
this sad news with my blogging friends!

stonewashed, eggplant and purple twilight.

Kitty Update!

As you know we went to the vets last night with Kitty.
They think she is about 13 years old now and are not too keen
on taking the thyroid gland out as she might not survive the anesthetic.
There was no mention of taking her teeth out i am pleased to say.
She is now on one tablet a a day. They weighed her and she only weighs 2.8kilos,
poor thing! We have to go back in two weeks to see if she has put weight on.
Kitty has not eaten anything since Thursday evening!
We have tried to tempt her with all sorts of things but she would not eat.
Then she finally decided to eat something this evening,
two pouches of fish and some roast chicken from Morrison's.
So you can imagine we are all quite relieved.
I don't know what will happen if she does not gain some weight, we will just have to keep
our fingers crossed for her.

What kind of pie are you?

You Are Apple Pie

You're the perfect combo of comforting and traditional.

You prefer things the way you've always known them.

You'll admit that you're old fashioned, and you don't see anything wrong with that.

Your tastes and preferences are classic. And classic never goes out of style.

Those who like you crave security.

People can rely on you to be true to yourself - and true to them.

You're loyal, trustworthy, and comfortable in your own skin.

And because of these qualities, you've definitely earned a lot of respect.

Poinsettia Class Card!

Today's card was made for my Thursday night class.
I kept the medallion quite simple, only four layers.
Normally I like to put six or more layers on a card.

Stamps poinsettia from Creative Expression & Merry Christmas from Woodware.
Card cream main card, gold, red, green, red music pearlescent & cream pearlescent.
Paper Vintage Christmas designer paper pack from Dovecraft.
Other oval nestabilities, Cuttlebug dots embossing folder, peel off dots,
cream grosgrain ribbon, orange peel off pen and brass fancy corner.

It is lovely and sunny here today, which is great!

Kitty seems a bit off it today!
She has been sick twice this morning, only liquid and then she went outside to eat some grass.
Not eaten anything since yesterday evening.
I hope it is nothing to serious!
Good job she is going to the vet's tonight!

Have a great day!

Two More Machine Embroidery Cards!

These are my last two machine embroidery cards.
One day when I have the time I will get my machine out
and make some more cards.
There are just not enough hours in the day to do everything!

Now I must get back to my card making as I have several cards to
make for people today, plus my card for this weeks class!

Happy crafting!

Machine Embroidery Christmas Cards!

While tidying one of my draws out the other day,
I came across some machine embroidery Christmas panels that I made last year.
So I decided to make some cards up with them.
Might as well put them to good use instead of hidden away in a draw!

Kitty Update!

I am pleased to say that Kitty seems to be improving!
She just potters around the house, sits in front of the radiator
and just pops outside for ten minutes.
She is starting to eat more food, just small amounts but often and she still likes her
chicken!
Back to the vets at the weekend.

Have a good evening!

Penguin Card!

I could not resist making this cute penguin card.
Ideas come to you at the strangest times!
I woke up in the middle of the night and thought I must design a
penguin card with my punches.
I must say it did not take long to design & make,
about 20 minutes.

I have edged around all the black peices with a creamy white chalk ink pad
so he stands out.
His eyelids have been glittered with black glitter.
All this stands out in real life, you might not get the effect on here.
If you click on the picture you might see the detail better!

Have a great Friday!

Snowman Card

Today's card idea came from Dawns Stampin Studio.
I don't have the same size punches as Dawn, so I have just made do with the punches I have.
I loved making this card so much that I thought I would try to adapt it to make a
Father Christmas.

What do you think, will it do!

Kitty update!

She is about the same as yesterday.
She went outside for ten minutes.
Not really eaten much today:-(
and she is fast asleep in front of the radiator.

Have a good day everyone!
It's very cold here today and we had frost on the ground this morning!

Kitty Up-date!

I would like to say a very big thank you for all your kind messages about Kitty,
I was very touched by everyones kindness!

At this minute she is fast asleep in front of the radiator.
We have managed to get her to eat some food.
I have hand fed her chicken, which she loves!
She has had her tablets without to much fuss today, in her chicken.
There is some improvement in her, I am pleased to say!

No Cards Today!

Sorry but I have no cards to share with you all today!
To tell you the truth it has been a very stressful day and I just don't feel like
creating anything!

As some of you may know we took in a stray cat back in May.
When she came to use she was just skin & bone.
She is a lovely cat, house trained, well behaved you could not ask for any more!
Well yesterday she was not eating and we thought it might be a fur ball again,
which she gets every couple of weeks. So we usually gets a day where she will not eat
until she has sicked the hair ball up.
So this morning when Kevin came downstairs he found some sick on the floor and
some blood and we could see something was wrong.
Phoned the vet and got in at dinner time. Well we have got one poorly puss!
She has an overactive thyroid and bad teeth. So she is on two sets of tablets.
We have never had a cat before and trying to give her a tablet when she wont eat is really hard.
It has taken three of us to give her the tablets!
If she improves over the next two weeks
when she has her next trip to the vets she will have to have her teeth out.
If there is no improvement, it sounds like Kitty will have to be put to sleep!

I have just taken these two photos of Kitty!

Poor baby!

She is so thin and needs to put weight on. We are having to puree her food
to get her to eat. We are getting her to eat a bit every hour.
She is drinking a lot and just sits there looking sorry for herself, poor thing!
